Ontario PC Government Welcomes $132 Million Manufacturing Investment in Burlington

Ontario PCs are protecting Ontario’s economy by welcoming a $132 million investment from Tempel Canada that will create nearly 100 new, good-paying jobs in Burlington while strengthening Ontario’s advanced manufacturing sector.

The new 250,000-square-foot facility will more than double Tempel Canada’s footprint in Ontario, sustain more than 200 existing jobs and manufacture the transformer components needed to power homes, businesses and the industries driving Ontario’s economy.

As demand for electricity continues to grow, driven by artificial intelligence, data centres and a growing economy, Doug Ford’s Ontario PC team is ensuring Ontario has the manufacturing capacity needed to strengthen North America’s energy supply chains and keep powering economic growth.

Ontario is supporting this investment with $5 million through the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness stream of the Regional Development Program.

Since 2018, Ontario has attracted more than $235 billion in new investments by lowering taxes, cutting red tape and creating the conditions for businesses to grow. Ontario PCs will continue to protect Ontario by backing manufacturers, creating good-paying jobs and building a stronger, more self-reliant economy.
